Maryland General Assembly Tour

Thursday, October 3rd
We had a very informative tour and learned a lot! (Adults included) This trip fill all requirements for their Inside Government Badge.
We were lucky enough to have all 17 girls on this excursion!

Camp Todd Encampment

September 14-15, 2024
SU644 held a girl lead encampment for all girls in our Broadneck Service Unit Juniors and above. This year was Space themed and we had a blast!

Bridging Ceremony

Sunday, June 2nd

Our girls move up to their second and last year of Juniors! We joined in with Brownie Troop 4215 to celebrate

Strawberry Festival Parade

Saturday, June 1st

We joined other troops in our Service Unit 644 to participate in the annual Strawberry Festival Parade.

Family Camping

Friday-Sunday, April 26-28th

A little (or a lot) of rain didn't dampen our sprits! It was a fun weekend of nature and unplugging.

Dance Party

Saturday, April 13th

We gave the girls a budget from the cookie money they earned to plan a fun event. As a troop we came up with ideas ranging from a trip to Disney (LOL) to saving it!
They then researched the cost of the ideas and narrowed it down to the ones that fell within our budget. We had about 8 events which the girls got to vote on. A Taylor Swift dance party was the landslide winner.
The girls had a blast!

Bees!

Monday, April 8th

The girl got to learn all about the importance of bees from a local bee keeper. They go to see a piece of the hive with the bees and try on the beekeeper suit.

World Thinking Day 2024

Sunday, February 25th 2024

On February 22 of each year, Girl Scouts and Girl Guides celebrate World Thinking Day. Each year has its own theme, such as helping the environment, fighting poverty, achieving gender equality, or making sure everyone has access to education.

This year our Troop picked the Netherlands to represent. At a troop meeting we got a presentation from Aislin's Dutch Oma on what it is like to live there and how they handle poverty (this year's theme). They made a presentation board and SWAPS.
During our event at the library our girls talked about the Netherlands, gave out our tulip SWAPS, and we had samples of stroopwafles a yummy Dutch snack.

Port Discovery 2024

February 4-5, 2024

Our Troop spent the night at Port Discovery and had fun making slime, creating logos, roll playing, and going down the 3 story slide!

SU644 Skate Night

January 21, 2024

Our Service Unit did a great job of hosting a skate night. Fun was had by girls and parents alike. There was definitely some channeling of the 80's going on!

Holiday Caroling 2023

Our troop visited The Sheridan Assisted Living in Severna Park to spread holiday cheer to the residents.

GSCM Uniform Day

Flying Up Ceremony

Our troop of Brownies have flown up to Juniors! We shared this special day with Daisy Troop 4215 where some of their girls bridged from Daisies to Brownies.

St Michael's Lighthouse Overnight

June 2-3, 2023
We got the special opportunity to not only learn about the history of the St. Michael's Lighthouse, we got to sleep in it! The girls who attended are all now honorary lighthouse attendants.

Dance Badge

We had a dance instructor from a local dance studio come and give the girls a lesson. They all learned a short dance routine.

Eco Adventures Overnight

April 22-23, 2023
Oh what a night! Filled with lots of scaly friends. We got to learn about, touch, hold and sleep next to many different reptiles and arachnids.

Archery

The girls got to learn how to shoot a bow and arrow at Archery Day at Goshen Farms.

National Cryptologic Museum

April 15, 2023
We visited the National Cryptologic Museum at NSA where the girls learned all about codes, cyphers, and cyber security.

World Thinking Day 2023

World Thinking Day is a world-wide Girl Scout and Girl Guide event where girls in all WAGGGS member countries learn about the same topic and investigate it from an international perspective. This year's theme was "Our World, Our Peaceful Future: The environment, peace, and security."

Holiday Caroling 2022

Girls Just Want to Have Fun!

A few girls and their moms did an overnight at Camp Conowingo. The girls had a blast and memories were made.

Pet Badge

We got a special visitor during this troop meeting! The girls all took turns reading to the emotional support dog and we made cat toys to donate to the SPCA on our outing there.

STEM Night at USNA

The Naval Academy STEM department hosted a fantastic night of fun STEM activities and an astronomy lesson in their planetarium.

Art Badge

The girls worked towards their Art Badge at a paint night creating a winter landscape. We have some very talented artists in our troop!
