World Thinking Day 2024

Sunday, February 25th 2024

On February 22 of each year, Girl Scouts and Girl Guides celebrate World Thinking Day. Each year has its own theme, such as helping the environment, fighting poverty, achieving gender equality, or making sure everyone has access to education.

This year our Troop picked the Netherlands to represent. At a troop meeting we got a presentation from Aislin's Dutch Oma on what it is like to live there and how they handle poverty (this year's theme). They made a presentation board and SWAPS.
During our event at the library our girls talked about the Netherlands, gave out our tulip SWAPS, and we had samples of stroopwafles a yummy Dutch snack.
